On Monday the Democratic National Convention kicked off in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. Our lovely First Lady gave an amazing and powerful speech that I’m sure will go down in history. The beautiful, brilliant, and bold First Lady made it a point in her speech that the election is about the kids and future generations to come. She stated “This election, and every election, is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives.” Obama strongly endorsed Hillary Clinton as the candidate she believes will get that job done. She stated “There is only one person who I trust with that responsibility, only one person who I believe is truly qualified to be President of the United States, and that is our friend, Hilary Clinton.”
Another positive and inspiring piece of Mrs. Obama speech we should all take away and follow is her motto for the cruel folks and bullies in our lives. Obama stated that motto is “When they go low, we go high.” A great lesson to us all not to stoop down to the level of the cruel, mean, or ignorant people in our lives.

Also lets not forget to take a moment to spotlight her fashion at this years DNC. The First Lady wore a custom Christian Siriano blue dress and paired it with silver heels. She kept it simple, elegant, classy, modern, and trendy. First Lady Michelle Obama is truly a courageous, gorgeous, and inspiring black women.
